For several years Pledge2Recycle Plastics has attended the Wales Air Show in Swansea to engage with citizens on plastics recycling and provide support to  Swansea City Council with the collection of PET drink bottles. 

Visitors to the show were encouraged to use dedicated plastic bottle recycling points near the food stalls and at the ‘Pledge2Recycle Plastics’ stand which were then taken by partners, Plastipak, to recycle into new bottles. In addition, visitors to the show were able to visit the stand to ask questions about plastics recycling alongside an educational display of the recycling journey of plastics.   

The event was also supported by local volunteers who carried out litter picking from the beach and promenade.
