We believe communities are key to managing plastic more sustainably. This page contains toolkits so your community can take small steps which make a world of difference to the environment.
Recycling helps reduce carbon emissions. Did you know each year on Valentine’s day, the UK sends around 25 million cards, uses approximately 13,500 miles of gift wrap & generates an additional 7,500 tonnes of plastic packaging and 17,000 tonnes of cardboard from online shopping and boxes of chocolates (Business Waste, 2024). Plus, we send a staggering 220 million roses (Floral Daily, 2024)
We have created a simple set of social media assets and messages for you to use to help everyone recycle right this Valentine’s day.

Did you know 60% of clothing fibres are synthetics, such as plastic based polyester or nylon and that the clothing industry accounts for 8-10% of global greenhouse gases which causes Climate Change.
The Coat Exchange is a great way to update your winter wardrobe in an environmentally conscious way. Coats of all shapes, colours and sizes, no longer needed or wanted, are donated and quality checked before they are made freely available to anyone looking for a new winter coat.
Running a pre-loved clothing event like a Coat Exchange means fewer resources and energy are used to manufacture and transport new clothing, which helps reduce Climate Change, conserve resources and protect habitats.
Our toolkit provides you with everything you need to hold your own Coat Exchange including practical advice, posters, social media assets, and copy.
We’d love to hear about your Coat Exchange so tag us into your event too!
